ALTUS SPAY AND NEUTER CLINIC

The Altus Spay and Neuter Clinic was made possible through the generosity of WaterShed Animal Fund. This will now allow the animals at the Altus Animal Shelter to get spayed/neutered before they get adopted. AAWA hopes that taking the burden off the new pet parents will encourage more people to adopt rather than buy.

In addition, AAWA will also launched a TNR (Trap, Neuter and Release) program to help reduce the feral cat population in Altus.

AAWA hopes this will be the beginning of the end for the overpopulation of strays in our community and ultimately lower the number of animals that end up at the shelter.
